COVID-19 Update:

With growing concerns worldwide of COVID-19, Package Development Corporation wants to assure our valued partners that we have taken preemptive actions to ensure continued supply from our manufacturing suppliers and US distributors during this time. We have long standing and secure relationships with our suppliers worldwide for many decades.
It is always our practice to maintain efficient raw material inventory levels. However, with the COVID-19 issues over the past few months, concerning some raw materials, we have further increased our shipment forecasting to six months as well as increased purchase quantities domestic suppliers. Our manufacturing quantities and inventory levels of our finished products have increased to assure continued supply to our valued partners without interruptions.
We want to reassure you, our valued partners, that we have taken the necessary steps, actions and precautions to maintain our international supply chain and are confident at this time that Package Development Corporation can accommodate your product orders without any interruption and the same service and quality you have become accustomed.

Below are few answers to common questions that have been asked. We will be providing updated information on a regular basis, or as it becomes available, until this pandemic has subsided.
Q: Has Package Development been affected internally with COVID-19?
A: NO – None of the Package Development employees worldwide have been diagnosed positive to date.

Q: Has Package Development been affected externally by COVID-19?
A: NO – None of our vendors have been affected at this time. All Customers will be notified immediately should a concern arise.

Q: What if one or more Package Development locations are affected by COVID-19?
A: Package Development has two main locations in the USA, and our redundancy plan can be implemented in 60 days.

Q: Are you building up additional stock of products in order to be prepared in worst case scenarios?
A: Package Development Corporation locations have allocated enough stock for their individual customers that can be reapportioned to other Package Development locations if needed.

Q: What precautions has your company done to educate the prevention of transmission of COVID-19?
A: We have SOP of clean manufacturing, and we have also implemented a company wide effort to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 in the workplace, HR has communicated to all employees above and beyond our Clean Manufacturing SOP and asked them to do the following:
– Stay home when you are sick. (All personnel will be paid regardless of PTO status)
– Wash your hands with warm, soapy water for at least 20 seconds immediately when entering the building. Sanitize all door handles, buttons, and control knobs and surfaces.
– Cover your mouth with tissues whenever you sneeze, and discard used tissues in the trash. Wash and sanitize hands immediately after touching your face or other person.
– Avoid people who are sick with respiratory symptoms.
– Frequently touched surfaces, wear disposable covers on production floor.
We have provided employees with large containers of alcohol-based hand sanitizer throughout the workplace and in common areas. As well as provided cleaning sprays and wipes to clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces such as telephones and keyboards.
We asked employees not report to work while they are experiencing respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills or fatigue. Also, to remain at home until at least 24 hours after they are free of fever (100 degrees F or 37.8 degrees C) or signs of a fever without the use of fever-reducing medications.
